Beach Haven

We had a great family vacation here! The house was very nice, comfortable, and a great spot for our whole family to spend time together. We really enjoyed our stay and the beach access was a huge plus.The one thing I would flag for future guests is that there are quite a few stairs, both throughout the property and especially getting down to the beach. The adults in our group had no issues, but the stairs were more challenging for the young kids and grandparents. Our grandma actually missed a step and took a fall during the trip, so I would just recommend being extra careful if you’re traveling with older family members or little ones.Overall, though, we had a really nice stay and made some great family memories here!

Property was very clean and as described. Great for a large family vacation. The stairs to the beach are not for the faint of heart, but we knew that when we rented it. Host was very quick to respond when we had questions. Plenty of parking.

This listing was very deceptive. It is not as described. There are not 6 bedrooms. There are four bedrooms in the house and a container building that contains two loft beds with ladders. The grill did not work well. The stairs inside were narrow and there were no lights in the stairwell. We had 5 children, ages 2-5. This IS NOT a child friendly house. The beach access was a harrowing steep staircase that led to the water’s edge. There was only a very small beach at the bottom of the stairs. Only 3 of the 11 people in our group braved the staircase. The bluff was so high that we couldn’t let the children near and there was no barrier or fence. We left a day early. I would not recommend this rental to anyone with young children, senior adults or anyone who wants a beach.

There was plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Short trip to downtown South Haven and the beach. We also climbed down the stairs many times and the kids enjoyed jumping the larger waves in the evenings. The stairs were definitely a challenge but the private beach below was excellent! The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you might need and there was enough space for all of us to sleep comfortably. The hot tub was clean and great for relaxing. The views from the property were amazing! We saw some truly gorgeous sunsets!

We loved our stay! The house was clean with nice touches. The host was accommodating and easy to get ahold of. We loved the location to downtown south haven (10 minute drive). We used the main house for our group of 12 and brought our own air mattress. It was a bit tight but we made it work.
